How to Use This Blog

Welcome to the online blog of House Call Wellness. The intent of this blog is to provide simple solutions for common musculoskeletal and joint problems. However, please realize that we are using a “best guess” scenario by connecting the most common symptoms with the common solutions that resolve them.

It’s important to note that a single symptom can have many different root causes. I like to think of this as a lock and key analogy. The symptom is the equivalent of a door that is locked. The lock is the problem, and the solution is the key. Just like the real world, a locked door can have multiple locks of different manufacture and design.

This blog will review the most common keys, but ultimately the key needs to fit the lock to open the door. Remember, if a “solution” presented here doesn’t work for you, it’s not that the solution is “bad” – it was just the incorrect key to your problem.

The solutions presented here will be a combination of exercises, stretching and foam rolling that you can perform at home. When stretching or foam rolling, we will likely experience some discomfort while loosening tight muscles and sticky joints. If you can’t discern between therapeutic pain (i.e. this hurts but I feel like something productive is happening), verus injury pain (i.e. this hurts and I feel like I’m tearing or crushing something), then I’d advise that you seek professional care in a controlled one-on-one environment.
